Businessman Gavriil Yushvaev searched over Moskva City shooting
Last November, investigators conducted searches in the houses and apartment of businessman Gavriil Yushvaev, a source in the Investigative Committee told RBC.
The searches were held in two of Yushvaev’s houses in Odintsovo district of Moscow region and in an apartment in the Nemansky passage. According to the source, there is a link to the shooting incident in Moskva City, while Yushvaev is not a person officially involved in the case.
"The basis for the search was a report that documents relevant to the case could be found in the apartment," stated the source to RBC.
An acquaintance of Yushvaev's confirmed to RBC that the businessman’s places had indeed been searched, which was associated with the Moskva City conflict.
Yushvaev ranks 82nd in Forbes’s 100 richest businessmen of Russia, with a fortune estimated at $1.2 billion. The businessman invested in the construction of Oko Tower in Moskva City.
It was near this building that a shootout took place, killing one and injuring five. The investigators opened a case about an attempted murder (part 3 of Art. 30; item (a), part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code), as well as about illegal acquisition and possession of weapons (part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code) on November 18.
