Court places Roskomnadzor press secretary under house arrest
Chertanovsky court of Moscow has placed the Roskomnadzor press secretary Vadim Ampelonsky, head of its legal department Boris Yedinin and advisor to the general director of General Radio Frequency Center FSUE Alexander Veselchakov under house arrest until November 7, Interfax
was told by the court press secretary Stanislav Yezhov.
Ampelonsky has already appealed against the decision. The prosecution asked to arrest the suspects.
The reports about the criminal case against Ampelonsky, Yedinin and Veselchakov came in the evening of October 11. They are suspected of an especially large swindling (part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code).
According to RBC, Roskomnadzor prosecution may be associated with non-existent employees who are registered in one of the agency’s subdivisions, but do not actually work there.
The Interfax source said that the case had been opened because Roskomnadzor's money had been moved out through a FSUE under its control.
